I also forgot to mention, at Christmas Two of my friends from school Charlie Parkes and Hester Davies, thought up an idea to raise money for the Percy Hedley Foundation, http://www.percyhedley.org.uk/landing.asp?id=8 Charlie's younger sister aged 13 has an undiagnosable condition similar to cerebral palsy, she attends this school in Newcastle and it has majorly benefited her life , this was really close to Charlie's heart and wanted to do all he could to help the school, so a charity ball was organised , many people attended and through the selling of tickets and raffle tickets, auctions e.t.c and donations, over £2000 pounds was raised , everyone came and showed their compassion and willingness to help which is so important in being a doctor , the drive to make a difference outside of the workplace too , as i see being a doctor a life choice not just a 9-5 job. This inspired me and i plan to join Charlie up there soon to do some volunteering at the school itself , plus i have inquired about working at a local hospice. Get out and continue to raise money for charity ! Every little helps !
It was lovely to have a half term off ! Luckily i didn't have much work to do as we'd just had our january exams which means results are coming up on the 8th of march ! I'm very nervous ! All my friends seemed to have been skiing which i was extremely jealous although one of my friends had an unfortunate accident and meant he had to go to hospital in Austria My friend James was unable to speak enough of the language and found it hard to communicate with the doctor, luckily this Doctor had done training in the UK and therefore new many medical terms in English along with the general small talk , this made james' experience in the hospital a lot more comfortable , which made me think how valuable doing some medical work in another country would be, how it would really contribute to being a successful doctor , how interesting it would be how different countries mean different experiences , which all help in being a successful doctor, learning new ways of communicating with different people whether that is just learning parts of a new language , or whether it's working in a new environment with different working styles and different people, being out of your comfort zone.

My ambition in life like many others in this world is to become a doctor, i know it will be hard but i'm going to do all i can to get there ! I'm very passionate about this and thought i'd share my journey to med school (hopefully a good one , fingers crossed) and interests with you all!
Bit about my recent life , currently in a stream of exams, not fun, very stressful! Sure many of you out there are in the same situation , but this tiny section of exams will be over in friday so i'll be off out for a nice meal with my friends to celebrate ! So far i've had chemistry, core 1 , biology , and general studies, unfortunately these didn't go so well, i worked so hard that the knowledge i haven't done that well after i know i can do well an deserve to brought me to tears :( exams have always gone well for me in the past so i'm not used to it , I understand i need to get used to this as the many exams i have to face and the journey to med school will be a tough one so need to be determined and not put off by any set backs. Not a great deal more is going on in my life right now, My brother recently went back to university so i'm very lonely in the house :( however there are some bonus' to this ....
Good luck to all those striving to be a doctor !
